Donald Pliner Boots – My Honest Try-On Reviews
I’ve always been a sucker for good boots—especially ones that look chic and feel good enough to wear all day. Donald Pliner has been on my radar for a while, so I decided to take the plunge and order three pairs: the bold Andria platform boots, the versatile Azia ankle booties, and the sculptural Salana pull-on heels. Here’s how they stacked up in real life—from unboxing to actual wear.
🧡 Andria Platform Boots – $159 (Originally $398)

First up, the Andria boots. These are not your average suede boots—they’re bold, with a commanding block heel and a thick platform. The warm Cognac color screamed fall fashion, and I couldn’t wait to try them with everything from skinny jeans to midi skirts.
My Experience:
As soon as I pulled them out of the box, I could feel the quality. The suede was soft but structured, and they looked exactly like the photos—maybe even better. Once I slipped them on, I felt like I gained two inches in height, but surprisingly, they didn’t feel unstable at all. The memory foam insole added just enough cushion.
I wore them for a dinner date and a few hours of walking, and they held up beautifully—no sore feet, which is a rare win for boots this stylish.
How They Fit:
I went with my regular size (8.5), and they fit perfectly with a medium-thickness sock. The zipper closure made them easy to get on and off, which I really appreciated with the higher shaft.
Takeaway:
These are statement boots in the best way—comfortable enough to walk in, and cool enough to dress up or down. Definitely a standout pair in my closet.
🧡 Azia Ankle Booties – $159 (Originally $298)

The Azia boots are what I’d call a “wardrobe essential.” Sleek, classic, and versatile, these black leather ankle booties were made for everything from the office to weekend errands.
My Experience:
The square toe and subtle grain of the leather give them just enough visual interest without being flashy. I paired them with tailored pants for a client meeting and later threw them on with straight-leg jeans and a sweater—both looks worked flawlessly.
The insole had that same cushy feel I noticed in the Andria boots, and the rubber sole gave great traction (even on wet pavement).
How They Fit:
I ordered size 8.5 again, and they fit true to size. The slight heel is very manageable, and the zipper on the inside of the ankle makes them super easy to wear.
Takeaway:
This is the kind of boot you buy and wear constantly. If you want something reliable, polished, and ultra-comfortable, these are it.
🧡 Salana Pull-On Bootie – $89 (Originally $298)

Finally, the Salana bootie. This one intrigued me the most with its futuristic shape and stretch crepe upper. It’s definitely fashion-forward, and I was curious to see if they were wearable beyond just the runway vibe.
My Experience:
Wow. These hug your feet like a sock but still manage to look elevated. The flared heel is architectural and surprisingly stable. I wore them to a gallery event, and I felt like a modern-day fashion editor walking through SoHo.
They’re not as “everyday” as the Azia boots, but they’re a fantastic pick when you want to turn heads or add something special to a simple outfit.
How They Fit:
These are true to size as well. The pull-on style takes a second to get used to, but once they’re on, they don’t budge or sag. The crepe fabric has a nice stretch, which gives them that snug fit around the ankle.
Takeaway:
For bold fashion lovers, these are a dream. Just the right blend of edge and elegance.
Final Thoughts
Trying these Donald Pliner boots side-by-side gave me a full perspective on what the brand brings to the table: style, comfort, and craftsmanship. The Andria boots are my power pair, the Azia booties are my everyday MVPs, and the Salana heels are my fashion wildcard.
Whether you’re revamping your fall wardrobe or looking to invest in high-quality boots that won’t kill your feet, these three styles cover every base. Donald Pliner, consider me officially impressed.
